Unity in Diversity

Diversity, that’s makes this world looks much plentiful than anything. Diversity, one of the biology’s branches which discuss about the biodiversity of living things and the relation of it with the surroundings. Not only in biology, had diversity also related with the culture. We will talk about the diversity if we set the culture as the main topic because as we know that our prideful country, Indonesia, has so much culture in each of its province.

Back to the topic, diversity caused unity. Diversity unite every differences become one. That’s what I snatch when I captured this picture. It was when I had the movie night event and these are the upper decoration for cover the roof. As we see there, there is more than one color. It has yellow, red, white and blue. They have one absolute point connecting each other. It ends them and unites them into one.

Reflecting to our life, it’s a meaningful photograph because as we observe deeply about the essential of life is we are different from each other. We are unique in our ways and that’s make our life seems so beautiful than ever. Nobody have the same point of view about something, or a thought too. We are all have the typical opinion encounter any challenges throughout our life. But, as we look ahead into the future, we need a diverse action to revolute this world. We need much more effort to act on particular way to create something new. And the main key is we have to respect the diversity itself.

Respon to the Headline

The headline news told me about the effort of the famrmer to demands the settle of land conflict around North Sumatra, Lampung, West and East Java. They asked for the fair solution about the dividend of the land between the state’s and private’s authority. More than 2.000 farmers would held a large scale march to remain the goverment about the land problem. The council of the goverment said that this demonstrate of land conflict increased clearly from the previous year. The presence of the police also aggravated the situation as noted that the violence of the police, intimidation, and shooting them to accomplish the march. Goverment also said that the arrested of the farmers was the worst in around last 14 years.

In my opinion, it should be did by the farmers to fight for their rights about the land conflict. They have to snatch it as the owner of those. They sowed the seed, took care of it and grew them surely to reap the product they would given their family to. It was obviously not appropriate when they have did everything to keep their source of life alive and the other unresponsibilited relevant just seized it from their hand. The farmers needed a stritch law to limit the land share between them and the state’s. A stricth law was not really enough to support, the awareness of the goverment also needed to appreciate their effort so far. When they held an massive parade asking their rights, goverment should realized their wants and promote what they have to own. But, in order to ask for their right, they also have to be orderly and obey the rules acted throughout the march. Meanwhile, the help of the police to guide the march going well should exclude any violences to avoid the large scale of noise and the worse part is when those march turns into the anarchy situation. The police should let the demonstrant tell their wants freely, not limit their freedom to express their oration. Hopefully, soon there won’t be any violence, victims and unbeneficiaries side when the democration was acted.
